Russell Wilson’s ex-wife, Ashton Meem, and his current wife, Ciara, found themselves in the news cycle this week for very different reasons.
Wilson and Meem first got together when they were in high school. The pair got married in 2012 but ultimately split up just two years later in 2014. He and Ciara then hooked up in 2015, before quickly getting married in 2016.
With the 2023 NFL Draft set to take place this week, an image of Meem at the 2012 NFL Draft reacting to her beau getting picked went viral once again.
This is an annual occurrence. It happens every year.
NFL fans, who are never particularly subtle, had a lot of reactions to Meem’s viral moment.

She got a settlement after the divorce but he had t signed a huge contract yet. Was still on his rookie contract he signed as a 3rd pick I think

Meanwhile, as Meem trended for her facial expression at the 2012 NFL Draft, Ciara found herself going viral over her latest social media post.
It really impressed her legion of fans.
If it feels like Ciara and Wilson have been in the headlines a lot as of late, it’s because they definitely have been.
Between their wild photos together, provocative videos and memorable dance sequences, it has been one thing after another.

This most recent situation is just par for the course.
Will we ever get to the point where an NFL Draft rolls around and Meem’s face doesn’t immediately start to trend? Maybe, but not any time soon.
