Jeremy Chardy continues to suffer due to the aftereffects of the COVID-19 vaccine, opens up on the d

Jeremy Chardy suspended his season last September after losing to Italian World No.16 Matteo Berrettini in Round 1 of the US Open 2021. He gave a shocking revelation to the tennis world that he is facing adverse effects of the COVID-19 vaccine and is unable to train or play. He also had to undergo knee surgery last June.

“Already, there is a side that is a bit difficult, I had spoken about it with Roger Federer because when I had surgery, he called me because for the moment I am doing my rehabilitation, but until I play again, I don’t know if I will be able to play again or not.

“That’s the thing that’s a bit hard mentally, it’s to say to yourself, ‘I’m doing everything seriously, I’m doing my rehabilitation and maybe I’ll be disappointed at the end that I won’t be able to play again,” said Chardy during an interview for the French Media.

35-year-old Jeremy Chardy might be an example for the Anti-Vaccine campaigns

Jeremy Chardy was a promising talent for French Tennis and he came to the limelight when he won the 2005 Wimbledon Championships Boys’ Singles title. Starting his professional career in 2006, Jeremy Chardy had a career-high ranking of 25 back in 2013 but then he was having a downfall. His career took a new low last year post the COVID-19 vaccine intake.

Chardy’s case is already being discussed all over the world by Anti-Vaccine forums. As he continues his life away from tennis, the interview given to the french media now quotes Chardy saying frustrating words “That is the difficult question mark.

“After, yes, I will try to play again, it will be a year and a half that I have not played so suddenly, I do not know where I am. Physically, is it sure that I am not at the top? Tennistically, it must be six or seven months since I kicked a ball. It’s going to take time but I just want to finish by having fun.

“I want to train well, be competitive and having great tournaments. How many tournaments do I have left to play in? I have no idea but I just want to end up having fun. I’ve been doing this since I was little, I’ve always been very serious in my career, and I just want to end up on the court and not in the hospital,” added the Frenchman.
